1.Screw lifting plug into socket of one end and place soft protection material under the other end(see pic.1) to avoid damaging nipple;

2.Blow dust and dirt on the surface and socket of electrode and nipple with compressed air; use brush to clean if compressed air cannot do it well (see pic.2);

3.Use a proper torque value (see recommended torque value table) to properly lock electrode (see pic.3);

4.In order to avoid crushes during furnace charging, please place bulk materials at the furnace bottom; meanwhile please do not place lime or any other non-conductive materials right under the electrodes, otherwise it will decrease electric conductivity and cause breakage;

5.Attention furnace cover’s position in order to avoid scratching or damaging when rising and lowering electrodes;

6.If any connection gap observed after jointing, the causes must be identified and eliminated before use;

7.Electrode clamper must be hold at the proper position: outside the safety lines of the higher end;

8.Attention impact on electrodes from collapsing materials during melting, operations of rising and lowering must be taken on time;

9.Electrode breakage happens during refining period due to thinner electrodes cause nipple dropping and consumption increase, please don’t use electrodes to raise carbon content.

10.Please don’t mixed use electrodes from different manufacturers due to raw material and technologies are different from each manufacturer, chemical and physical properties are various as well.
